I am an
evolutionary
biologist and animal behaviorist. I am especially
interested in understanding how physiological, environmental and
evolutionary constraints affect behavior. I am also interested in how
and why organisms communicate. I recently earned my doctoral degree
at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, USA (2011).
The focus of my PhD dissertation was vocal
communication in the stripe-headed sparrow (Peucaea r. ruficauda)
in Costa Rica.
I conducted my PhD research in the birdsong
lab of Dr. Michael Beecher of the UW Biology and Psychology
Departments.
